The University area is
located in Northeast Charlotte. In 1961 what was then Charlotte College
relocated to this site. Two years later it became Charlotte University,
and then became a campus of the University of North Carolina system.
Today the campus is in a growing suburban location within Charlotte in
Northeast Mecklenburg County, and often called "University City".
The University Area has
excellent access to I-77, I-85, and I-485. The area will be within the
